UNA VITA PER L’ARTE
Nel quartiere Sanità, cuore pulsante di Napoli, un laboratorio creativo dà vita ai progetti dell’artista visionario Annibale Oste. Uno spazio vibrante dove puoi “sentire” l’energia di chi ha vissuto con il privilegio di poter tradurre in immagini scultoree una dimensione immaginifica fatta di personaggi onirici, paesaggi di linee e solchi materici, spesso riportati in complementi d’arredo per quello che è il design d’autore per eccellenza.
Dunque una scommessa, quella che Oste ha vinto, mettendo la sua arte al servizio del manufatto artigianale e industriale. La produzione è una sperimentazione continua che va dall’utilizzo della porcellana a quello della ceramica, dal bronzo al vetro soffiato protagonista di una collezione di lampade e, alla fine degli anni novanta, di installazioni luminose: vere e proprie sculture di luce alte tra i dieci e i trenta metri, collocate in Italia e in Giappone.

In the Sanità district, the beating heart of Napoli, a creative lab yields the projects of artist and visionary Annibale Oste. A vibrant space where you can feel the energy of an artist who has had the privilege to translate his vision made up of oniric charachters, line and rut landscapes, often translated into design objects, entering the realm of quality design, into sculptures. That is indeed Oste’s challenge, using his art to assist the artisan and industrial manufacture. And the results are astonishing.
The production is an ongoing experimentation that goes from the use of porcelain and ceramic, bronze and glass, for a lamp collection, and, from the late 90s for light installations. Light sculptures, over ten metres high, and up to 30 metres, located in Italy and Japan. Annibale’s children Vincenzo and Mariasole make sure to keep the mix of art and design alive today.
